Developed by Juliu Horvath, an ethnic Hungarian professional dancer from Romania who suffered a series of debilitating injuries during his dance career. The Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods were developed as a way to heal himself and regain his strength and agility.
Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis exercises use spiraling, circular movements that flow rhythmically with breathe, promoting joint mobility without jarring. These sequences build balance, strength, flexibility, and efficiency.
